Grape(s): 40% Grenache Blanc, 40% Clairette, 10% Picpoul, 10% Ugni Blanc.
The La Fermade Blanc comes from vines situated on a plateau in Lirac of rolled pebbles and from the hillsides of Saint Laurent des Arbres, composed of a sandy, pebbly soil. The avg. age of the vines is 27 years old, and the yield is a miniscule 18hl/ha! Vinification includes débourbage, fermentation at a low temperature, regular bâtonnage, and no malolactic fermentation. Aged in inox tank. Annual production: 20.000 bottles.
The wine possesses a floral and expressive bouquet, expansive in the mouth with lovely citrus notes, and a nice aromatic persistence. Food Accompaniment: Can be drunk as an aperitif, or during meals with “fruits de mer, du poisson, des desserts aux fruits.” After some years of ageing, it will accompany nicely “les poissons en sauce.” Optimal service temperature: 10C-12C.
