According to La Revue du Vin de France's “Les meilleurs vins de France 2010,” the Domaine Billaud-Simon is “positioned from now on, at the summit of its savoir-faire; the range of Premier and Grand Crus is remarkably diversified and the precision of the vinifications has never been so elevated. We are in the presence of some of the most pure and most expressive Chablis of the entire appellation, with a signature of high maturity. For those who don't have access to Raveneau and Dauvissat—effectively unobtainable—they can be consoled with these grand expressions of chablis. If two and a half stars was existing in our classifications, Billaud-Simon would surely get them.”
An aromatic palette of yellow fruits, its ageing gives it more weight and an added layer of richness. A model for Chablis' aged in oak, very well-balanced, concentrated, and upright. Bettane & Desseauve: 15/20
Maturity: Now-2015
