Babic is a native grape from Sibenik and Primosten (Northern Dalmatia); related to Dobricic (parent of Plavac Mali). Aromas of red fruit (cherry), black fruit (blueberry, plum), violets, eucalyptus, spice, meat, earthiness, dark chocolate, coffee, and oak. In the mouth a full body yet soft texture, very juicy and good balance between fresh acidity and firm ripe tannins.

Babic is a native grape from Sibenik and Primosten (Northern Dalmatia); related to Dobricic (parent of Plavac Mali). Aged 12 months in American oak barrels. Terroir: black and gray sand/clay layer on top of the karst (limestone) subsoil; windy and very dry climate. Color is deep ruby red with light red tinges on the edge of glass. Aromas of red fruit (cherry), black fruit (blueberry, plum), violets, eucalyptus, spice, meat, earthiness, dark chocolate, coffee, and oak. In the mouth a full body yet soft texture, very juicy and good balance between fresh acidity and firm ripe tannins. Long aftertaste and very complex. Very good ageing potential.
